The Template dialog box

  • Template Name: Enter the name of the marker template here.

Properties

Marker properties

  • Marker title: The title information entered here will be common to all the markers created with this marker template.
  • Marker description: The description entered here will be common to all the markers created with this marker template.
  • Marker address: Check this option if you want the address of each marker to be displayed in their respective information window.
  • Marker coordinates: Check this option if you want the geographical coordinates of each marker to be displayed in their respective information window.
  • Change marker icon: Click on this button to change the icon that should be used by all the markers created from this template.

Web link

If you would like all the markers generated with a template to include a particular link to a website, check the Web link option and enter the link properties below:

  • URL Address: To associate a default Web address with all the markers created with this template, enter it here.
  • Link text: To create a hyperlink to the URL Address entered above and display it instead of the link code, enter the hyperlink text here.
  • Open Link in New Windows: Check this option if you want internet links to open in a new browser window.

E-mail link

If you would like all the markers generated with a template to include a particular e-mail link, check the E-mail link option and enter the link properties below:

  • E-mail address: To associate a default e-mail address with all the markers created with this template, enter it here.
  • Link text: To create a hyperlink to the e-mail address entered above and display it instead of the link code, enter the hyperlink text here.

Tags

  • Tags: To associate text Tags or keywords with all the markers generated with a template, enter them here and separate them with commas: e.g. restaurant, cheap, new.

Extra Tabs

Click2Map allows you to store information in custom Extra Tabs that can be automatically added to markers if they are defined in a marker template. The Extra Tabs tab of the Template dialog box lets you create additional tabs or remove existing tabs from a marker template.

Text Tab

Extra Tab - Text Tab

  • Caption: Enter here the name of your custom tab. This caption will be used as the tab's label.
  • Content: Enter or paste here the text contents that should be displayed in your marker's custom tab.
  • Remove Tab: Click on this button to delete the active extra tab.

Photo Tab

  • Caption: Enter here the name of your custom tab. This caption will be used as the tab's label.
  • File: If the photo or picture you wish to insert in the extra tab is located on your hard drive, use the Browse and Upload buttons to select it and copy it on the Click2Map server.
    • Browse: Click on this button to open your operating system's file selection dialog box and select the correct image file on your hard drive.
    • Upload: Click on this button to start uploading the selected image file to the Click2Map server.

Extra Tab - Photo Tab

  • Image URL: You can also select an image file already present on a web server. To do so, enter or paste here the full image address and click on the Load button to select it.
    • Load: Click on this button to load the image file from the URL entered above.
  • Preview: This area displays a scaled down version of the image file you've just uploaded or loaded.
  • Legend: Enter here the text you wish to associate with the image file.
  • Remove Tab: Click on this button to delete the active extra tab.

  • Caption: Enter here the name of your custom tab. This caption will be used as the tab's label.
  • HTML Code: Enter or paste here the HTML code that corresponds to what you'd like to display in the custom tab.
  • Remove Tab: Click on this button to delete the active extra tab.
