In Click2Map, three main containers are used to store and organize information: Maps, Markers and, optionally, Groups and Drawings. You can use maps, groups and subgroups to precisely create the structure you need.
Maps constitute the highest hierarchical level in the Click2Map organization system: to be able to create markers or drawings, you first need to create a map. Maps can contain as many markers, drawings and groups as you need. See also: the Map dialog box.
Drawings are lines or polygons you can draw on your maps. They can be used for numerous purposes such as: showing directions, highlight specific geographical areas, etc. Lines and shapes are fully customizable: you can easily change the color, width and opacity of all lines and closed shapes.
Markers contain information associated with specific places and locations: they can be used to store text information, Internet links and as much personalized elements as you wish. A marker is the equivalent of a record in a database. Markers can be created inside existing maps and groups. See also: the Marker dialog box.
Groups are hierarchical containers that can be used to further organize your markers. Groups can contain markers or subgroups. See also: the Group dialog box.
