The Group Dialog Box
The New Group dialog box used to create a new group and the Edit Group dialog box used to modify an existing group are identical, only their titles differ.
Group Information
- Name or ID: Enter the Name or ID for you group here. This is the default field used for search operations, so you may want to use a descriptive enough name or a unique ID.
- Description: The Description text field can hold additional information about your group.
Default Marker
- Icon: The icon that is presently selected as the default icon for all new markers within the selected group is displayed here. This icon is used both as the group icon (displayed to the left of the group name in the Map Explorer) and as the default icon for all the markers that will be created inside of this group.
- Change Default Icon…: Click on this button to open the The Icon Set Dialog Box dialog box and select the icon you would like to use as the new default icon for all new markers within this group.
- Use Default Icon: Click on this button to revert back to the default icon. This operation only modifies the group's icon: all the markers contained in the group keep their icons unchanged.
