In addition to its powerful database system, Click2Map gives you the possibility to use variables that you can insert wherever you want to put existing information without having to retype it. The ideal place to use variables is of course in marker templates.
Any information added in custom Data Categories and Data Fields through the My Database functionnalities can also be inserted into marker templates or anywhere you may need them.
The character used to declare a custom variable is the # character (when default variables use the $ character).
For example, if we create a data category named “MyCategory” and add three data fields named “DataField1”, “DataField2” and “DataField3” to it, we can easily insert the content of any of these data fields by using the following syntax:
You can of course insert the content of any data field from any data category.
